Tree of the Week: July 2nd, 2024
ArborNote’s Tree of the Week is the Beaked Yucca (Yucca rostrata). Our fearless leader, Hank Ortiz, was showing his visiting German family around Laguna beach and came across this beautiful flowering Beaked Yucca by @lasbrisasrestaurants! The species is native to Texas, and the Chihuahua and Coahuila regions of Mexico. The Beaked Yucca is extremely ornamental, slow-growing evergreen, with a perfectly symmetrical pom-pom-like form. The pom-pom form includes hundreds of 2 foot long leaves, just watch out for their sharp points!
