ArborNote’s Tree of the Week was chosen by our new customer support wiz, Joshua! He has chosen the Mango Tree (Mangifera indica) because while he was learning about ArborNote, he went out to his Mango tree in his yard and ArborNote told him it was in poor condition, which explains why he wasn’t getting any Mangos! It is native to South Asia and thrives in tropical and subtropical warmth; ideal temperatures range from 70°F to 90°F. The mango is the national fruit of India, Pakistan, and the Philippines, and is the national tree of Bangladesh. A mango tree can live for over 300 years, growing up to 100 feet tall. It also features a deep taproot that can go down 20 feet into the soil. Mangoes are a symbol of love and friendship in India, giving someone a basket of mangoes is a common sign of goodwill!
