Tree of the Week: April 2nd, 2024
Our fearless leader, Hank Ortiz, spent some time in Tennessee with his family for spring break, which led to ArborNote’s Tree of the Week to be the Pink Flowering Dogwood (Cornus florida f. rubra)! These beautiful trees are native to the United States, and have started to bloom for the Spring season. This certain species of dogwood is known for their bright pink flowers that paint an amazing picture across the landscape when in bloom. The blossoms give way to glistening orange-red fruit in the summer that can last until late in the year as long as they aren’t devoured by hungry birds!
